Pennino is a brand of vintage jewelry created in the USA, in New York. The founders of the company are three Italian brothers Pennino.
Pennino designs and manufactures jewelry using crystal rhinestones set in gold plate, silver, vermel (a type of 925 or 800 gold plated silver) or rhodium plated metal. The brothers adhered to the classic style, but were aware of new trends in the world of fashion and jewelry.

The family business prospered, the company flourished in the 30s and 40s, the brothers divided responsibilities: Otto worked as a designer, Frank as a jeweler, Jack was in sales and marketing. The company’s jewelry was sold in prestigious US stores such as Spaulding’s of Chicago and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Pennino jewelry was in demand and often used in Hollywood filming, adorned movie stars and socialites.
But after the onset of the Great Depression, gold and non-ferrous metals became an unaffordable luxury.

By 1960, Frank Pennino, the jeweler of the company, lost his sight and the brothers destroyed all the molds and equipment from which their jewelry was made.
A rather sad story, it turns out that the brothers did not want to give their business into the hands of another jeweler, so as not to lower the bar for the quality of the jewelry produced by the company. Probably, there was no one, they didn’t even leave anything to their descendants. The proud and uncompromising royal blood decided everything irrevocably and harshly. What do you think?

Marking Pennino, however, not all jewelry was marked. Products of the Pennino brand are a rarity these days, having retained their original sophisticated look.
The jewelry shown in the photo refers to 40-50 years.
