The history of the Paul Voltaire brand begins with an Austrian metallurgical engineer who moved to New York during World War II.

In the mid-forties of the twentieth century, Paul Voltaire teamed up with creative individuals and became one of the pioneers of Craftsmen’s Equity (now the American Crafts Council). His path as a designer began with the opening of his own boutique in Greenwich Village in New York in 1949.

Voltaire’s craftsmanship was demonstrated through the use of various metals: noble silver, brass, gold and copper were combined with practical steel. His signature mark – the name “Paul Voltaire” between two triangles – became his calling card.

Today, Paul Voltaire jewelry is considered an exclusive rarity in the fashion world: its images have repeatedly appeared on the pages of such authoritative publications as Look, Vogue and Glamour.

The master’s creative path was cut short in 1979, when Paul Voltaire passed away at the age of 61.
