In Newport, Rhode Island, the J H Breakell & Co brand was born in 1972 — the story of the family silver jewelry business of James and his wife Joan Breakell.
Joan took on artistic direction, as her husband had vision problems. Her creative path covers all aspects: from the birth of an idea to modeling 3D shapes of future products in wax.
In their work, the masters use noble materials — silver and 14K gold, drawing their main muse from the beauty of nature and the environment. Each item is hand-forged, stamped and polished, followed by the application of the brand mark: “Breakell”, “Sterling Breakell” or the astrological sign of Aries — the symbol of James’s early work.
For almost half a century of continuous existence, the brand has not lost its relevance and continues to actively develop.
