Gem-craft is a company founded in Providence, USA in 1945. It was closely connected with the famous Coro – Gene Verri, an Italian immigrant, worked as the chief designer at Coro for 30 years, while being a co-owner of Gem-craft, the second owner was his son Ron. Verri owns a very large number of design ideas for the famous Coro products, including those patented in the name of Adolf Katz. As is known, Katz in many cases was simply a representative of the company in the patent office, and not the author of the jewelry.

Gem-craft produced jewelry of a very high level, but little under their own brand, mainly they made jewelry for other companies, including Kramer, Kenneth J. Lane, Capri. The company still exists. In 2006, they began to use the Jewelcraft brand, which had belonged to Coro since the 20s of the last century and remained free after its closure. In this way, the heirs of Gene Verri wanted to both pay tribute to the connection between generations and to share in the good fortune that was brought to them by one of the most successful brands of one of the most successful companies in the production of costume jewelry of the early and mid-20th century.
