At the beginning of the 19th century, in 1882, to be more precise, in the heart of Missouri — the city of St. Louis, the Bauman-Massa company was founded. Prominent entrepreneurs Samuel H. Bauman and Edwin Massa were responsible for its foundation.

A historical milestone occurred in 1895, when the company changed its name to a more sonorous one — Bauman-Massa Jewelry Company. However, in 1941, after the transfer of ownership to the Katherine McCullar family, the brand retained its historical identity.

During its existence (more than a century and decades), the company has introduced three iconic jewelry lines:
- Cardinal, founded in 1935 as a line of costume jewelry;
- Winsome, which appeared in 1976 with an emphasis on rings;
- Kate Mccullar — a luxurious collection of products with diamonds and gold (2001).

In the sad chapter of history, 2014, Bauman-Massa Jewelry Co. ceased to exist. The last owners had to announce the complete liquidation of the company along with all its precious assets; many exclusive works saw the light of day for the first time in that year.
