The history of the Barcs jewellery brand began in the mid-20th century in Alexandria, Australia. The company “Barcs & Co Unit Trust” was founded in 1948. It was engaged in the wholesale distribution of costume jewellery, watches and silverware.
In August 1957, the company name changed to “A. Barcs & Co (Manufacturing) PTY Ltd”. Registered in Lewisham, New South Wales, it ceased to exist in 2015. However, the updated high-class company “A Barcs & Co Nominees Pty Ltd”, registered in 1982, continues to operate.
The Barcs brand is famous for quality, craftsmanship and modern classic design of jewellery. Branded jewellery is released with a three-year warranty period, which is extremely rare in costume jewellery.
