At the beginning of the 20th century (1910), the Bonaz company was founded in secular France – a fashionable hair accessories house, created by the founder and his descendants. A special enthusiast of the artistic direction of the company was the son of the founder, August Bonaz (1877-1922), who sought to distinguish the brand with unique decorations made of galalith and chrome.

His innovative concept led to the creation of unique combs, brooches, hat pins and buttons in the Art Deco style – works with an uncompromising original design. Bright penguins, funny owls, carrots and other playful motifs coexisted here with Japanese elements or elegant filigree until the early 1980s.
